  27.    Hmm.  I can't speak for Descent, or even provide concrete numbers, 
  28. but on Marathon with my PowerMac 7500 running in 24-bit color, 640x480 
  29. the display and movement in the game is perfectly fluid.  Not 'almost' 
  30. smooth, or 'smooth enough' animation--PERFECTLY FLUID.  The graphics are 
  31. vastly superior to DOOM, and the sound output is user selectable to up to 
  32. 4 channels of 16-bit actively panning stereo sound.  It's a pity it takes 
  33. such an expensive machine (around $2,500 US) to run it flat out with all 
  34. the bells and whistles, but it's an awesome game.  :-)
